Striped Shoes from Balenciaga, Spring / Summer 2010

All that is made by Nicolas Gesker, is always of great interest and accessories: the productions  under the brand Balenciaga are always a “hit”. I think women of fashion will not pass by the new, spring-summer collection of the brand. Let’s see what kind of shoes invented Gesker  this time.

The first thing that catches your eye is the contrasting stripes, which are present in some instances of shoes. Some models are striped from  the heel up to the  toe, while others are decorated with strips of only a small part, for example, a piece of sole.

The forms created by Gesker cannot be called subtle. This shoe looks too heavy and confident – it seems when the designer was work on it, he was thinking about strong individuals with an attitude. For example, the sandals have a high and stable heel and wide straps, twisting ankles, and their bright “striped” gives them a fresh spring look.

These “impressionistic” ankle boots, in my opinion, are the most spectacular model of the whole collection. In addition to its spectacular colors, they have an unusual shape of the heel, however, against the background of other designers’ follies this design looks pretty calm.

Finally, there are boots with open toe, made of composite materials. They are also very good, and certainly perfectly complement our spring look.
